This was a bad tempered affair from the start but Tannahill
started the better and took the upper hand after about
15 minutes when a rare Neil Fraser header from a perfectly
placed James "Big J" Taylor cross put Tans
one nil up.
Glynhill were not too happy and started to get a bit
dirty in the tackle but Tans stood up for themselves
and promptly went two up after new signing Stephen Castles
showed his willingness to chase every ball. The Glynhill
keeper miss kicked the ball but never miss kicked Castles,
who despite this, slotted home. The keeper should have
walked for the challenge, but weak refereeing meant
he escaped further punishment.
Glynhill hit back just before half time when Tans went
to sleep for a second and allowed the forwards to have
a free run at John Campbell in goals.
Campbell went on to have a great game and denied Glynhill
near the end of the game with a terrific top corner
save which left most of the Glynhill sideline amazed
as they were sure it was a certain goal.
The game ended 2-1 to Tans amid some ugly scenes from
the opposition.
